If the rumors are to be believed, Apple is apparently working on a foldable iPhone. This seems to be in response to companies such as Samsung who have released multiple foldable phones to date.

Now according to the latest rumors, the testing of these alleged foldable iPhones seems to be going well.
A report from the Economic Daily News is claiming that the prototypes Apple has made has passed internal durability tests. This would suggest that whatever technology or method Apple is using to create these devices are meeting the company’s requirements when it comes to build quality.
However, we should caution against being too optimistic about this. We imagine that many companies create prototypes and run tests on them, but whether or not it eventually becomes an actual product is a different story. A good example would be Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat, which progressed far enough for the company to announce it, but ultimately it failed to live up to Apple’s standards and was cancelled.
It will be interesting to see how Apple will approach the foldable phone design. Right now, foldable phones aren’t quite as widely adopted as one would have hoped, despite the huge potential behind the technology. It is possible that price is a huge factor in holding customers back, so we’ll have to wait and see if Apple can create a device where the price is justified, or if their marketing can somehow convince customers that it’s worth buying even if it’s expensive.
