In addition to the Chinese release date, Huawei also posted some important messages on their official website, it said that the new foldable phone can’t fold if it has a temperature of 23 Fahrenheit or -5 Celsius.

The company also advises users not to remove the special protective film on the phone’s screen.

About the new foldable smartphone Mate X

The new foldable smartphone brings an 8-inch OLED display that can, reportedly, fold outwards, resulting in a 6.38-inch rear display and a 6.6-inch main display.

The Mate X Foldable is powered by Huawei Kirin 980 mobile chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of data storage. The phone gets its power from a 4500mAh battery cell. 

As for the camera setup, the Huawei Mate X features a 40-megapixel main camera system, 16-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

The phone also comes with a time-of-flight sensor.

The device also includes an LED flash, a USB-C port and a power button/fingerprint sensor. To support 5G technology, the new smartphone is equipped with Huawei-developed Balong 5000 modem. More
