The Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s first-ever foldable device, is facing an unusually increased amount of delay.
Its launch event was scheduled to be held on April 26, 2019. However, this event has been postponed due to breakage of review devices in possession of several reviewers. This unexpected setback has affected the Galaxy Fold release events in several countries, China included.
Royole Corporation has taken the initiative by making sure at least some units of its own first foldable, the FlexPai, were available for sale in this market.
To date, this company has held only 1 pre-sale event for its ground-breaking flexible phone, in December. However, it has recently put together another, reportedly conducted via the online seller Tmall. MyDrivers has reported that Royole announced that all units of the FlexPai offered during this release were gone by yesterday (April 28, 2019).

Tmall will be selling this device again soon. It will reportedly start stocking the FlexPai on May 9, 2019, at 10.00am. On that date, it will offer 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variants of this foldable phone at 8999 yuan (or US$1337).
Alternatively, there will be 8GB RAM SKUs with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage at 9998 ($1486) or 12999 ($1932) yuan respectively. For contrast, the single 12GB/512GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be sold at $1980. More
